In Game Information: Until very recently the city was ruled by a "Provost" - Jacques Antoine Mounier. However, Jacques Antoine Mounier has claimed the position of Imperial Prince of Scotland and in his wake Lord Geoffrey Montague-Forsythe has taken Praxis of Edinburgh.
In August 2006, Prince Montague-Forsyth held court, which was attended by the Imperial Prince of Scotland - Prince Jacques Antoine Mounier - and by guests from the length and breadth of the United Kingdom. Court positions were announced and the previous regencies were revoked, leaving kindred to re-negotiate their holdings with the Prince. After the 'Summer Celebration' held at the beginning of July 2006 saw the arrival of another two kindred - 'Sarge' and an Eastern European 'Count' who attended the main court gathering in July also. At this second gathering more new kindred appeared, as did a number of visitors from Glasgow and further afield. Despite the short summer nights Edinburgh appears to be blooming with new Kindred activity. After a confrontation between the Bailiff, Mr Peter Graham and the Hound, Mr Robert Balfour during the gathering of June 2006 Mr Balfour exiled himself voluntarily, leaving the Gangrel Priscus position open for Mr Graham to take. At this gathering there were a number of new kindred arrivals, several of whom appeared very new to the Danse. All were formally acknowledged by the Provost and allowed to remain in the city. Again several of the Circle collapsed. In May 2006 the Priscus council of Edinburgh convened, it's members being: Lord Geoffrey Montague-Forsythe of the Ventrue, Mr Marcus Gunn of the Daeva, Mr James Ruthven of the Mekhet, Mr Robert Balfour of the Gangrel and Mr Nic Carter of the Nosferatu. Several of the members of the Circle of the Croen collapsed and were unconscious for a few moments at the gathering, the cause of this strange event is unknown.
In April 2006 Edinburgh had the pleasure of being visited by the ruler of Huddersfield, His Majesty Prince Zaragoza of the Invictus. Lady Sophia Amelia Lorenzo Del Mar, the Pontifex of Eboracum was also present. The Bailiff, Peter Graham of the Invictus, sucumbed to the beast after a short interaction with the Provost's harpy, Alasdair McConnell (also of the Invictus). The Master of Elysium - the Invictus Captain Geoffrey Montague-Forsyth - quickly contained the Bailiff. The unaligned Michael Anderson announced his challenge to the current Mekhet Priscus, James Ruthven (the Primogen for the Ordo Dracul). The matter was resolved by the time of the next gathering with Mr Ruthven still holding position as Priscus. High Champion of Edinburgh (Bertram Belasis) was declared after a 'Champions and Maidens' competition held in March 2006. Mr Belasis of the Ordo Dracul dueled with other vampires of Edinburgh for the honour of this title, his final duel being a notably long and skilled battled with Marcus Gunn of the Invictus. He fought for the favour of Mina (of the Ordo Dracul) and Rheanne O'Neill (the Circle of the Crone adviser to the Provost and also his Seneschal) who have become the High Maidens of Edinburgh. The positions of High Champion and High Maiden are held for one year - thereafter the bearers must pass them on to the winner of the competiton the following year. That event was organised by the then unofficial harpy of the city, Aeric Sinclair, a visiting member of Nashville, Tennessee's ruling Primogen council. . . . . . . . . .
